Africa gets first online journalism course: "The Unites States International University in Nairobi, Kenya will be launching what is believed to be Africa's first online journalism course this September.
Led by tutor Kodi Barth, online journalism will be taught to students that have already studied basic journalism. The course will cover a range of skills, culminating in the production of an online magazine."

Safaricom : The Better Option - GPRS in Kenya: "The introduction of GPRS here in Kenya makes us only the third country in Africa to unveil a technology that adds a whole new dimension to communication with the emphasis on high speed data." Safaricom used to scoff at allowing data on its network at all. Now they are ahead of Kencell (soon to be Celtel).
